“Why Did the Hedgehog Cross the Road” Hedgehog Preservation Society 8th Jan 2025

On Wednesday 8 January 2025 Hugh Warwick from the Hedgehog Preservation Society is coming with a talk entitled

‘Why did the hedgehog cross the road?’

The British Hedgehog Preservation Society (BHPS) is a registered UK Charity, founded in 1982,
dedicated to helping & protecting hedgehogs native to the UK.

Hugh Warwick, ecologist, author, and hedgehog expert, is known for books like ‘A Prickly Affair’ and ‘The Hedgehog Book’. He explores wildlife conservation in works like ‘The Beauty in the Beast’ and ‘Linescapes’.   

A spokesperson for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society, Hugh is also a public speaker, conservation trainer, and creative writing lecturer. 

He will be giving a talk at the Lechlade Gardening Club, representing the British Hedgehog Preservation Society
