As parking is limited, we will meet in the Memorial Hall car park at 6.00 pm to arrange car share. If you have enough people in your car then please go direct to Langford.
Langford is a quiet village near the upper reaches of the Thames.
Hardy Amies bought the Old School in 1972 and converted it into a comfortable gentleman’s country house in miniature, furnishing it with exquisite taste, featuring 17th century furniture, sculptures, ceramics, paintings , prints and textiles
He also designed the highly structured garden in the school playground, it is a small formal garden but had considerable influence on garden design in later years .
It has a collection of old roses Rosa de Rescht, Ferdinand Pichard, Rosa Mundi, Etoile de Holland.
