A local visit to Chestlion House, Clanfield 6-8pm, 12th June

Entrance Fee £5 for Charity

Wine and non alcoholic drinks available for small extra charge

The next Club meeting is an evening visit to Chestlion House in Clanfield.  If you do not drive, or do not wish to drive – please contact a committee member to arrange a lift.

Louise Johnson has very kindly agreed to open her beautiful garden and grounds especially for the Lechlade Gardening Club and friends on Wednesday 12th June at 6-8 pm.
We have agreed that visitors will pay £5 each upon arrival (so bring cash) which will be donated to a local charity.  There will be wine and soft drinks available for a small extra charge.  See rough sketch for location of the garden attached.

The garden is approximately 3/4 acre of blowsy roses and soft romantic planting in borders and  includes a productive kitchen garden, cutting garden, greenhouse, herb garden and  circular meditative garden with a round pond. Beyond this you can stroll through a newly planted wildflower meadow with a fruit tree avenue leading to an old boathouse and pond.

I have attached an illustration of Chestlion House and Gardens and also some directions
